About the Program In this presentation, genealogist and librarian EvaAnne Johnson will share how she compiled her local family's cherished recipes into a family cookbook and ​tips for how you can do the same. Learn about preserving family recipes, collaborating with relatives, discovering your culinary heritage, and the process of turning those recipes into a personalized family cookbook, ensuring that your treasured culinary memories endure for generations to come. About the Presenter EvaAnne Johnson is a Genealogy and Local History Librarian in the Chicagoland area and has been researching her own family history since 1998. She earned a Master of Library and Information Science (MS/LIS) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois College. She is the Vice Chair of the Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board, and a Consultant at the Wilmette FamilySearch Center. In addition to blogging and speaking about family history, she also contributes to publications of local historical societies and has written her own family cookbook. About the Special Collections and Archives Division The Miami-Dade Public Library System’s Special Collections & Archives Division preserves and provides access to rare and historically significant materials for the public and scholarly community. Its diverse holdings include the Helen Muir Florida Collection, the 16mm Film Collection, the Cuban Collection of Rare Books & Ephemera, the Genealogy Collection, and rare and antiquarian books dating back to the 17th century.
