One-on-one Career Services Help

About this event

OCPL Central offers a weekly one-on-one appointment with OCPL's Access Services Librarian, for personalized help with career services on the first floor of the Central Library in the public computer area. These appointments are specifically for career services assistance that take longer than 15 minutes and cannot be handled by our Front Desk staff. We provide in-person assistance with (not an exhaustive list): Help writing and polishing Resumes and Cover Letters Filling out online forms and applications Email setup help for receiving notifications from employers Using the internet effectively to look for jobs Word processing and spreadsheets to track job applications Coaching for interviews – basic interviewing techniques, interview follow-ups Learning how to use and leverage LinkedIn and other professionally oriented social networking sites These are one-shot sessions only – we cannot provide ongoing help over multiple sessions. To ensure that all patrons get a chance to take advantage of our services, we limit the frequency of appointments to no more than one appointment per month.
