One-on-one Adult Tech Help

OCPL Central offers two weekly one-on-one appointments with our in-house staff for adult patrons who need in-depth and sophisticated help with technology and personal devices that require more time. These appointments are specifically for tasks that take longer than 15 minutes and cannot be handled by our Front Desk staff. We provide in-person assistance with (not an exhaustive list): Setting up and troubleshooting laptops, tablets, smartphones, and attached devices like cameras, scanners, or CD Drives. Filling out online forms and applications Email setup help Using the internet usefully and safely to buy items online Word processing and spreadsheets Writing resumes, cover letters, and job searching Organizing and transferring documents and photos Cleaning up storage space Managing device settings, contacts, and apps These are one-shot sessions only – we cannot provide ongoing help over multiple sessions. To ensure that all patrons get a chance to take advantage of our services, we limit the frequency of appointments to no more than: 1 Appointment per week We do not provide help with...
