About this event
Location: 11th Floor Lecture Hall Speaker Giorgio Navone, King's College London Abstract Skorobogatov's conjecture predicts that the rational points on a K3 surface should be p-adically dense for almost all primes p. We show that this property holds for Kum(E x E) for non-CM elliptic curves E with nontrivial rational 2-torsion. The strategy exploits abelian covers of a hyperelliptic curve equipped with two independent maps to E. This is joint work with Alexandros Konstantinou and Harry Spencer.
