Join film historian Dr. Annette Bochenek as she explores ghosts in classic Hollywood cinema, where specters appear in a wide variety of genres, from horror to romance to comedy. Learn about the technologies used to create these illusions and how those methods connect to more contemporary films. This multi-media presentation includes photos, video clips, and captivating stories. $25, includes a shopping coupon & an Atrium Café half-price entrée coupon. Registration must be completed online. *** VENUE: This event will be held at the Geneva History Museum, located at 113 South Third Street, only three blocks from The Little Traveler (see map below). The museum is a treasure in our community, preserving and celebrating our hometown’s rich history. Complimentary museum admission included with your tickets. *** Map Parking Street parking is available near the Geneva History Museum and The Little Traveler with a three-hour time limit. Nearby parking lots are offered at: Campbell Lot—off of Campbell Street between S. 3rd & 2nd Streets. Free. Three-hour time limit. Courthouse Lot—behind the Kane County Courthouse. Free. Open to the public Tuesday-Sunday 8:15am-2am. Fulton Street Lot—off of Fulton Street between S. 3rd & 4th Streets. Free. Four-hour time limit. Seigles Site Lot (north of Metra station)—off of South Street between S. 3rd & 4th Streets. Free. Open to the public from 8:30am-2am.
