OLLI American Democracy Forum

Community Room. If, as many believe, this year's election will be one of the most consequential in our history, constructive discussion of the full range of issues facing America's political and governing systems is as crucial as ever. Participants are invited to give short (10-30 min) presentations on a key issue of their choice, followed by open discussion aimed at fostering civic awareness, critical thinking, careful listening, and respectful dialog. Together we will deepen understanding of community values and engage in meaningful conversation about America's changing role in a changing world. Charles Blum will draw on his experience in government, as a policy advocate and as an election official to lead these discussions. This course is a collaboration between the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Yavapai College and CLS. It is open to registered OLLI members and, on a space-available basis, to non-members Limit: 32. To register, reserve a seat, or request more information, please contact Blum at chblum45@yahoo.com
