**DESCRIPTION**: Hear ye, hear ye, a giant, whimsical troll has been spotted (again) in the Tigard/Beaverton woods. A brave fellowship is under assembly to go track it down. Will you join the troll stroll / hunting quest to cast your gaze upon one of Thomas Dambo's trolls? https://www.thomasdambo.com/50states **NOTE**: **Please update your RSVP now from "going" to "not going" if your plans have changed.** First, we'll gather at the Woods Memorial Natural Area's South Trail, and cover some of the Woodcreek, Alice, Zig Zag, Marigold, Little, and Plum trails. If the energy is there, we can climb The Stairway trail or take other junctures about four miles worth, before heading to the Nordia House. (by car, about 2 miles away). ***There is no restroom at the trail system. There are restrooms at the Nordia House / Broder Soder cafe.*** "About 98% of the landscape of the Woods Memorial trails is native including oaks, Douglas fir, cedar, willow, red and blue elderberry, Oregon grape, trillium, thimbleberry, and others. This steeply sloped site is part of the Fanno Watershed, containing the headwaters of the two forks of Woods Creek. Although most of the park was logged about one hundred years ago, there are still some historic trees. It offers a natural setting that attracts wildlife in the quiet woods, along the creek, and in the meadow." **DISTANCE**: About 4 miles on the trails; about 4.5-5 miles total **PARKING:** See pics. For the trail hike, park at or near Collins and 46th (very near Taylors Ferry and 46th). Look for the "South Trail" sign. There is street side parking in this residential neighborhood. When the trail hike concludes, drive over to the Nordia House Cultural Center which has three parking lots (hopefully with adequate space for our group). **MEET AT**: See pics.
