About this event
Join professional photographer Heidi Wagner as she discusses The Passions Project, a nationally recognized portrait series highlighting older adults engaging in their passions as a way of redefining aging. Through The Passions Project, Heidi has worked with over 20 senior communities and hundreds of individuals across the United States. Heidi will team up with Mather, the organization behind the exhibit Older is Bolder now on display in the Ida B. Wells corridor of the Harold Washington Library Center, to explore art, community, and aging. Created by local nonprofit Mather, Older Is Bolder challenges stereotypes about aging by celebrating older adults who lead, create, advocate and inspire in their communities. Through portraits and personal stories, this exhibit highlights individuals who demonstrate that growing older is not a limitation, but an opportunity for continued creativity and connection.
