@ The Lower Cape Fear Historical Society is pleased to announce our annual Old Wilmington by Candlelight Walking Tour. This year’s event will feature more than a dozen homes and churches located in Historic Downtown Wilmington. The tours will be held on Saturday, December 5th from 4 – 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 6th from 1 – 5 p.m. On both days, visitors can choose their route between the included sites. At each stop, docents will guide you inside or around the property to share the history of the structure and to enjoy the holiday decor. Tickets are $50 each and proceeds go directly to support the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society, a 501(c)3 non-profit. This is our main annual fundraiser and we sincerely appreciate your support. One ticket is valid for both days of the tour. Each ticket purchase comes with one ticket booklet containing a map of participating houses and churches, and a short description of each.
