Off The Record with John Roseboro

About this event

Off The Record is Adams Street Library's occasional live concert series that combines live music, immersive reading, and artist talks. Drop in and join us for an afternoon of live music and conversation with John Roseboro. RSVP encouraged. ABOUT THE ARTIST John Roseboro is a Haitian-American singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, and visual artist whose singular approach to songwriting has established him as one of the most compelling emerging voices in contemporary independent music. Based in Brooklyn, Roseboro has cultivated a sound that exists outside conventional genre boundaries—melding Brazilian bossa nova and MPB, indie folk, jazz, soul, alternative rock, and devotional music into what he has described as "post-bossa." Characterized by intricate fingerstyle guitar, understated arrangements, poetic lyricism, and his unmistakably warm, buttery tenor, his music feels at once timeless and deeply modern.
