Create a unique piece of artwork to keep or gift, illustrating a favorite family recipe with watercolor artist and illustrator Tara Sweeney. This class meets on Wed-Thu, Nov 18–19, 10 am–4 pm each day. Start with a recipe that everyone asks for this time of year. Discover the story it helps you tell. Whose recipe was it? Where did it come from? Gather the special tools, ingredients, or dish itself to explore how sensory-rich memories can inspire art-making. We’ll incorporate these elements into original watercolor artwork. This two-day class is built around instructor demos, independent work time, and time for sharing and questions. Students will finish class with a beautifully illustrated recipe, perfect for display, gifting, or sending as a card. Additional information: Advanced registration required. This class works in tube watercolor paints, not hard pan or travel palettes. Students provide their own materials for this class; click here to download the materials list.
