Next Generation Activists: A Resource Fair with the CLDC

About this event

A key part of participating in political movements is knowing what you are getting into, and what the consequences may be before you do it. Join us as a longtime movement lawyer explains where the line is drawn between legal and illegal actions; what your rights are when you engage with cops; what to expect if you are arrested; and what your rights and risks may be for protesting at school or campus events. We will also cover how to better protect your community and yourself from government surveillance and repression so you can powerfully exercise your rights to protest and take action in troubling times. Plus – Live music! Art! Free food! This event is intended for high schoolers, college students, and young activists. It will include multiple training sessions with activist defense attorney Lauren Regan; a panel discussion; and opportunities to connect with and get plugged into local organizations. Full schedule will be announced soon.
