New music for chamber orchestra + jazz quartet

This event will feature eight world premieres composed by Erik Jekabson and Gregory Howe and being recorded for a new album. The orchestra features some of the best of the Bay Area's musicians, including: **Erik Jekabson,** trumpet, conductor **Gregory Howe,** vocals **Katiana Vila,** vocals **Charith Premawardhana,** viola, conductor **Anthony Blea and Christina Walton**, violin **Keith Lawrence,** viola **Ben Davis,** cello **Mary Fettig,** flute **Dana Bauer,** oboe **Matt Renzi,** clarinet **Paul Hanson,** bassoon **Jeff Cressman,** trombone **Wayne Van Lieu,** french horn **Max Miller-Loran,** trumpet **Kjell Nordeson,** percussion **Matt Clark,** piano **Jordan Samuels,** guitar **Dan Feiszli,** bass **Jon Arkin,** drums I'm posting this event earlier than usual because past concerts by this group at the Hillside Club have attracted such large audiences. EVENT COST: Ticket prices start at about $28 online (Hillside Club members can get tix for a smaller price than that) SEATING is general admission.
