About this event
F.M. Kirby Gallery. "Booked on Reality" is a new non-fiction book club aimed at readers who love exploring history, science, memoirs and more through engaging conversation. We will meet on the second Wednesday of every month in the F.M. Kirby Gallery. Ask for a reserved copy at the Circulation Desk. Refreshments will be provided! This month we will be reading "Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland" by Patrick Radden Keefe. This mesmerizing book on the bitter conflict in Northern Ireland and its aftermath uses the McConville case as a starting point for the tale of a society wracked by a violent guerrilla war, a war whose consequences have never been reckoned with.
