NEPA Ecotour | Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority Office in Scranton Saturday, October 17 & Sunday, October 18, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. Saturday & 8:00 a.m. Sunday The NEPA Ecotour begins at the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority Office in Scranton on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. This supported two-day cycling adventure covers 85 miles and highlights Northeastern Pennsylvania’s growing network of connected trails. Participants may choose either a one-day ride or the full two-day experience. On Saturday, riders and bicycles will be shuttled to Ararat before embarking on a scenic ride along the D&H Trail and Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. The route includes a lunch stop in Carbondale and finishes back in Scranton before 5:00 p.m. That evening, registered cyclists are invited to a reception at Groove Brewing featuring food and complimentary beverages. Sunday begins at Test Track Park in Berwick at 8:00 a.m. Riders will shuttle to Scranton, retrieve their bicycles and complete a 45-mile route to Berwick. The ride includes sections of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, Luzerne County Levee Trail and Susquehanna Warrior Trail, along with on-road segments. Registration includes meals, snacks, shuttles, guides, route maps, insurance and event swag. Riders must provide their own bicycles. Pre-registration is required by October 9, and the event will be held rain or shine. The NEPA Ecotour offers cyclists a unique way to experience the trails, communities and landscapes connecting Scranton, Ararat and Berwick.
