Nature Journaling with Robin Rice Voigt

About this event

Mayer Room. A New England fall is full of color. Join us as we capture some of that in drawing fall leaves. Robin will do a half hour demo, illustrating both watercolor and colored pencil techniques to achieve vibrant color mixes. Participants will have an hour to work on their own drawings and we’ll share our projects at the end. Please bring: a colorful fall leaf! Pencil and eraser, hot press watercolor paper, watercolor paints and brushes and/or colored pencils, will be supplied for participants in the room. This program is co-sponsored by the Howe Library and the Hanover Conservancy, and is free of charge. This program is hybrid: attend in person or online by Zoom. Registration is required for both. Register at the bottom of this page either to attend in person or by Zoom (those registering to attend online will receive an email with a link to the Zoom registration form). Those attending by Zoom will need to provide their own art materials. Robin Rice Voigt is a graduate of New York Botanical Garden’s Botanical Art and Illustration program. She teaches Nature Journaling for Osher and is a co-founder of the Upper Valley Nature Journaling Group. Robin’s preferred media are graphite and colored pencil and she also works in watercolor and silverpoint. In addition to teaching for Osher, Robin also teaches colored pencil classes at AVA. Robin has lived in the Upper Valley for more than thirty years and delights in discovering new conservation areas to share with her students.
