Join Michelle Antonisse every Wednesday from September 2 through September 23 for a Descanso-specific variation of her “Into the Field” series, using nature journaling to connect with the natural world. Register here Through sketching, shading, gestural drawing, descriptive techniques, color theory, and composition, participants will explore creative practices that deepen their relationship with the gardens around them. Each session combines conversation, play, mindfulness, and observation to help develop a personal journaling practice inspired by the natural world. 4 weeks (4 classes): $150 members | $165 non-members Participants will meet in Gathering Room A before traveling into the garden for each session’s activities. Spaces are limited—register in advance. About Michelle Antonisse Michelle Antonisse is a Los Angeles-based artist, author, and educator, and current Manager of Pedagogy & Practice at The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). As a certified California Naturalist, Michelle runs experimental environmental education workshops called “Into the Field.” This program is generously funded, in part, by Perenchio Foundation.
