About this event
Come learn about native plants & seed collection! Join Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust for a hands-on afternoon of collecting native plant seeds. We’ll gather seed from native wildflowers, which will be used to restore habitat and grow the next generation of native plantings. No experience is needed. We’ll show you how to identify the plants and collect seed responsibly, so the wild populations stay healthy. Tools will be provided. Participants should bring their own gloves. This is the first event in a 3-part series focused on native plant propagation. Participants do not need to sign up for all 3 events in the series, but are of course welcome to! The event series includes the following: Seed Collection – October 29th, 3:00-4:30 (This event!) Seed Cleaning & Stratification – January 14, 3:00-4:30 Seedling Transplanting – June 10, 3:00-4:30 For more information or if you have any questions, contact Kyle Amergian at kamergian@coastalrivers.org Registration is required. Please sign up using the form below.
