Nancy Grabowski: Dreaming Into Reality

About this event

WILDFLOWER PLAYHOUSE PRESENTS Nancy Grabowski: Dreaming Into Reality ON VIEW IN THE GALLERY DEC 20 - JAN 23 ARTIST RECEPTION SUNDAY, DECEMBER 20 3pm - 6pm "Dreaming Into Reality" is a collection of work spanning from abstract and dream worlds into landscape and representational paintings, the 3-D world. As an artist, I find that I need to express myself in many ways, especially emotionally and spiritually. Not limiting myself to one genre has enabled me to grow my consciousness. ARTIST STATEMENT "I dream about painting, and then I paint my dreams." Vincent Van Gogh. My paintings originate from dreams, meditations, and the amazing dreamy landscapes that surround me in New Mexico and my travels. Conscious awareness allows me to relax, play, and enjoy the moments, bringing me into a flow state that I interpret in light, shadow, and color. As an artist, I am grateful to be able to express myself in various ways, and I aspire to share my experiences with the observer. ARTIST BIO As a painter, I feel blessed to be living in beautiful Taos, New Mexico. An avid hiker, skier, and outdoors enthusiast, the ambiance of this area stimulates my creativity. Plein Air painting on location is a newer endeavor for me and naturally combines my love of nature and painting. In studio, I draw upon my life experiences, travel, and photos to inspire my representational paintings. Dreams have long captivated me. Is there a message in there? Remembering snippets of dreams, journaling, and…
