In this four-part Music Industry 101 series, Pablo Max will walk aspiring commercial musicians through how the industry at-large works. This series is aimed at anyone curious about working in the music industry, becoming a professional artist, songwriter, or producer, or general curiosity about the inner workings of the business. In Session #2, Pablo will cover Recording & Label Deals. What is a sound recording? Who facilitates sound recordings? At what point do you work with who and how do they get compensated? What is a label? How does a label work? How does a label find artists? What is discussed in record label deals typically? Series Schedule Session #1 Songwriting Thursday, Sept. 3rd ▪ 6:00-7:30 pm Session #2 Recording Thursday, Sept. 10th ▪ 6:00-7:30 pm Session #3 Touring Saturday, Oct. 10th ▪ 3:00-4:30 pm Session #4 Marketing Saturday, Oct. 17th ▪ 3:00-4:30 pm Registration required. Opens one week in advance of each session. Ages 18+.
