About this event

Step into the shadowy world of Edgar Allan Poe at this fully interactive murder mystery experience in Jersey City. Uncover secrets, trade gossip, and solve a murder — all while playing a character in a live theatrical event set in the 1840s. Every guest holds a clue, including you! About the Event Edgar Allan Poe is at the height of his career and throwing a lavish party to celebrate the launch of his new literary magazine, The Stylus. The guest list is as eclectic as the man himself: prominent Jersey City patrons, colorful characters from Poe’s adventurous past, and a few whose intentions are far less celebratory. What begins as a joyful gathering descends into a night of suspense, secrets, and shadows. How Murder at the Mansion Works You’ll be assigned a unique character with a backstory, secrets to guard, and gossip to trade. Talk to other guests, uncover hidden artifacts, and piece together the mystery before the night is over. This is fully interactive theater and everyone plays a part.
