MSPIFF45: The Quiet Beekeeper
MSPIFF, aka the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, returns April 8-19, 2026 to celebrate their 45th anniversary with another awesome lineup of over 200 films from around the world, plus parties, panels, visiting filmmakers, and special guests galore. The Quiet Beekeeper Direct from its world premiere at the 2026 Goteborg Film Festival and win for Best Nordic Feature, The Quiet Beekeeper brings the lives of those in the rarely seen Midwest of Sweden (the province of Värmland), to the Midwest of America. It’s an exploration of love, nature and the cycles of life through the eyes of a father and daughter longing for connection. The taciturn title character is Olof (co-screenwriter Adam Lundgren) beautifully communicates Olof’s inner world. –Alissa Simon Film Details Film Type: Fiction Feature Release Year: 2026 Runtime: 104 min Country/Region: Sweden Language: Swedish, Norwegian Tickets can be purchased in advance here, or at the screening.
