Ms. Kate & The Rougaroux

Saturday November 28th doors @ 8pm Ms. Kait & The Rougaroux Special guest set by Chuck Hank! All ages $15 The Rougarou is a mystical swamp werewolf that is as much a vicious beast as it is a misunderstood spectre of the imagination. There’s nothing to fear as long as you’ve not wandered into a remote swamp after dark. Similarly, Ms. Kait and the Rougaroux (plural for Rougarou) are not to be feared unless one finds themselves susceptible to the swinging sounds of early jazz, ragtime, or the lowdown blues. Kaitlyn Kesler’s rich and joyful voice invites the listener to abscond from the drudgery of everyday toil and live for a short time in a world of romance and fantasy. Based in Durango, Colorado, this band channels the greats of American roots music including Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and more. The core group consists of Kate Kesler, vocals; Bean Minor, Piano; Summer Hollingsworth, upright bass; Brendan Shafer, banjo/guitar. Let yourself take a trip with this group, if only for one night… BUY TICKETS
