About this event

Inspired by Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem, the Italian composer’s masterpiece honoring the poet Alessandro Manzoni, CMA's Curator of Collections and Exhibitions, Daniel Marcus, will explore works from the museum’s permanent collection that similarly ennoble the dead and envision their return to life. After his talk, enjoy a live performance by Columbus Symphony Orchestra musicians. This program is $5 for members, $15 for nonmembers. Register Photo: Elijah Pierce, Before Death All Are Equal, 1946–1947. Carved and painted wood relief. Gift of Mr. and Mrs. Boris Gruenwald.
