Moving and Drawing Improvisation Class

**4 classes only! Thursdays, April 2-23rd!** **Please join Lindsay Forsythe and Dennis Yelkin for an opportunity to move and draw together in community! Let’s shift out of our analytical over-thinking minds, and into present moment creativity. You don’t have to be a “dancer” or an “artist”, Just bring your curious self to commune with others in a practice of guided drawing and moving scores.** **We are approaching this class as a meditative container of curiosity and exploration! Much of it will be in silence, with some group circling/sharing. There will be guided improv "scores" alone and in groups. By drawing we mean whatever comes out of your fingers and onto paper. By dancing we mean curious somatic exploration. All are welcome. All materials provided.** **FYI, this event is advertised in multiple places so there will be more attendees than indicated on this meetup event. :)** **Lake Harriet Spiritual Community, Creative Nature Collective, Rm 10** **4401 Upton Ave S. Minneapolis, Mn 55410** **Sliding Scale Suggested $10-20** **Lindsay Forsythe dances and creates, with experience teaching Modern Dance, Contact Improvisation, and Contemplative Dance Practices. She regularly attends Contact Improvisation in the Twin Cities where her interest in incorporating drawing into her dance experience was sparked.** **Dennis, a graduate of the California College of Art, San Francisco has spent most of his adult life exploring different forms of dance. The drawing/dance lab has provided an opportunity to explore both of these passions together.**
