View fullsize Morphic Trespass A launch to celebrate Morphic Trespass, a creative fusion between John Biscello (spoken word) and Ben Wright (bass). Biscello and Wright will perform tracks from the album, and vinyl albums will be available for sale. Ben Wright and John Biscello performed their eclectic-bop-and-groove hybrid of spoken word and bass together for many years, appearing at various venues and gigs. About twelve years ago, they recorded an album’s worth of material, which never saw the listening light of day. Enter Christopher Shoust, and Lost Telegram Press (an indie press based out of Ontario, Canada) who wanted to branch out and release the press’s first vinyl album. Lost Telegram became the catalyst and midwife in helping to birth Morphic Trespass into the world. The album features sixteen tracks, ranging in style and tone from apocalyptic bop to vision-grooved vaudeville to street-lyrical to psycho-erotic swing. It is spiritual and psychic kin to the likes of Dylan Thomas, Patti Smith, Lord Buckley, Jack Kerouac, Lenny Bruce, and others.
