Montopolis: Wild Horizon

Join us in the Texas Spirit Theater for the premiere of Wild Horizon, a musical and visual journey through the landscapes of Texas, commissioned in honor of the Bullock Museum’s 25th anniversary year. The event will feature a live musical performance by Montopolis’s nine-piece orchestra of a new piece composed by Justin Sherburn set against immersive multi-screen visuals curated by photographer Christopher Zebo. This sweeping voyage takes attendees through the seven regions of Texas: the familiar rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country, the breathtaking heights of Big Bend, the panoramic views of the Panhandle Plains, the sparkling waters of the Gulf Coast, the dappled savannas of the Prairies and Lakes, the subtropical abundance of the South Texas Plains, and the deep forests of the Piney Woods. Starting at 6 p.m., enjoy a reception in the Museum’s 2nd floor Atrium featuring charcuterie, sweets, and a cash bar. The performance begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $20 for Museum Members.
