Monthly Meeting

Our Presidents this year are Lynn Schardien & Kathy Kinnard. Kathy will also be taking on the role of treasurer with Amber Varwig joining us as Secretary! Nataly Cano will be assisting Amber and will continue to facilitate the Junior Optimist Clubs. Every meeting we will discuss past meeting minutes and notes, update on new projects and host a speaker if possible. Our club also supports the JOI Club at Everitt Middle School and upcoming club at Wheat Ridge High-school. We offer this program to any group of students looking to get involved in their community and organize ways to make a difference. Each youth club is different and works on their own projects. Aside from our JOI clubs, we host DIY Journal Workshops, teaching students to journal and take care of their mental health while learning skills in plan making and goal setting. There are various scholarship competitions and programs for students in high-school and middle school. As a group we vote on projects and fundraising. All ideas and concerns are welcome. We hope you join us in optimism and making a difference for all in our communities.
