Monte Montgomery

Some guitarists play the instrument. Monte Montgomery completely redefines what it can do. Widely regarded as one of the most electrifying guitarists to emerge from the Austin music scene, Monte has built a legendary reputation for turning an acoustic guitar into something that sounds—and feels—larger than life. Blending rock, blues, Americana and jaw-dropping musicianship, his live performances are equal parts technical brilliance and pure, unfiltered energy. This is the kind of show where you find yourself watching his hands and wondering, “How is he doing that?” Experience a true Austin guitar icon the way he’s meant to be heard: live, loud and up close at The Saxon Pub.
