Celebrate the spooky season with a fun exploration of the legendary monsters and mysterious creatures found throughout North American folklore! From the forests of Canada to the deserts of Mexico and every region in between, participants will discover the stories behind some of our most enduring legends. This program will look at a variety of creatures from Canadian, American, and Mexican folklore, exploring what each monster is, the legends associated with it, explore the cultural significance of these stories. and, whenever possible, trace the origins of each legend to a specific time and place. Whether you're a fan of folklore, history, cryptozoology, or Halloween fun, this program offers a look at the monsters that have haunted North American imaginations for generations.Light refreshments provided, and a few lucky patrons will take home a door prize!
