Monday night talk series @ Zero Proof Lounge

🌵 Exploring Mescaline: San Pedro, Peyote & the World of Psychedelic Cacti Join the Arizona Psychedelic Society for a conversation with Troy Brown of Sonoran Spores about mescaline and the remarkable cacti that contain it. Often overshadowed by other classic psychedelics, mescaline has a rich history of traditional use and a distinctive place in the psychedelic conversation. This evening, we’ll explore San Pedro and peyote—from their growing needs to the experiences people describe and the questions surrounding their potential therapeutic value. Topics will include: Understanding the plants: Growing conditions, cactus care, and considerations for Arizona’s desert climate. The mescaline experience: Reported effects and how they compare with other psychedelics. Preparation and integration: The importance of intention, setting, support, and making sense of an experience afterward. Potential benefits and risks: Separating personal accounts, traditional knowledge, and scientific evidence. Respectful stewardship: Cultural context, conservation, and legal considerations surrounding these plants. Whether you’re a cactus enthusiast, curious about mescaline, or interested in expanding your understanding of psychedelics, come learn, ask questions, and connect with the community. Bring your curiosity and join us for an evening of education, thoughtful discussion, and connection. This event is educational and does not involve the consumption or distribution of psychedelics*
