MOFGA Organic Certification Application Workshop
MCS will be holding an organic certification workshop where interested producers and certified producers can work directly with MCS staff on their applications and annual updates. Jacki Perkins, MOFGA’s Organic Livestock Specialist, will be available to discuss the USDA’s Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP) for farms interested in transitioning to organic certification and obtaining technical assistance. Please review our application checklist, practice manual and application forms for the scope you’re interested in certifying. If you have a laptop, please bring one. If you need to borrow one please RSVP by contacting us. Please bring a list of materials you have used on your land for the past 3 years and a list of materials you plan on using this season. If you are applying for processed products (anything dried, mixed, repackaged) please bring electronic copies of all of your labels.
