About this event
One of the world’s great pianistic storytellers, Mitsuko Uchida is a longtime favorite of Chicago audiences. In her first Symphony Center solo piano recital since 2018, she brings her peerless insights to Schubert’s A Major Sonata, a visionary work written just months before the composer’s early death. “Her interpretations are rich with ideas about beauty and mortality, yet her vision of Schubert is never forceful” (The New York Times).
