About this event
An evening of refreshing selections herald the vernal season?s arrival. Respighi?s shimmering Il Trittico Botticelliano evokes a trio of Botticelli masterpieces, including The Birth of Venus. Italian composer Allegro?s radiant October Light, 2025 winner of MSO?s Premier Orchestral Institute International Composition Competition, spreads warmth and positivity. Ries, friend and student of Beethoven, signals the emergence of his own musical voice with the drama and energy of his most popular Symphony No. 6, in a joyous finish that matches the exuberant glory of spring.
