The photo you see to the right is of a room called "The Heavens," which I see as a cross between the Sistine Chapel and a planetarium, at the new immersive, interactive art space in a former bank building on North 3rd, Ministry of Awe, also known as MoA. As some of you know, I've been attending MoA's "Nights of Co-Creation," which are on Tuesday nights from 5:30-8:30 (and often later) at their nearby studio space on Church between 2nd and 3rd (225 Church is the exact address), for over a year now. As a result, I've gotten to expand my horizons, meet a lot of friendly, creative people, and gain "behind the scenes" experience that I can share with you on the tour in the title. How did we make those giant fake pearls, squares of paper that resemble velvet cushions and drapery, and bathroom floor mosaics? What is "Chicken Girl's Journal," and who *really* wrote it? I can answer these and more questions for you on May 21st. As a matter of fact, I can do so twice in order to meet your order-of-MoA-experience preferences: :) 6:00-7:00: Round One, when those of you who want to *start* behind the scenes can get some of the inside scoop and then take the next hour to explore on your own; or 7:00-8:00: Round Two, when those of you who've *been* exploring on your own for the first hour can then learn how at least *some* of what's been around you was made. And now, the less happy part: getting tickets. I'd been hoping that I could arrange a steep group discount, but it turns out that, if 15 or more people are going, they each get a mere 10% off, or $3.00. Everyone I've talked with about this has agreed that $3.00 is not enough of a savings to warrant our waiting around to see if that number of people sign up (and, as we know, signing up does not necessarily translate into *showing* up). So let's just go with everyone getting tickets in advance at https://moaphilly.org/. I'd get them for either 5:45 or 6:00; closing time is at 8:00. If it's possible to get into the nearby…
