About this event
Rangoli is art where patterns are created on the floor using different colored powders. It originates from India and is often done during special events and holidays. Each region has their own rituals and ways of doing it. The act of Rangoli is being present and in the moment but also being able to let go of present thoughts. Mindfulness is built in this traditional art. Participants will be able to create and destroy their art. We will be using platters instead of the floor to create these beautiful designs. Class is limited to 12 spots (8 will be available for online registration, 4 will be available for in-person registration). Online registration begins Saturday, October 31 at 6:00 PM. In-person registration at the Brisbane Library begins Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 AM.
