About this event
This month we will focus on the transitory and impermanent nature of life. Autumn is in full swing, but before long the dark and cold will engulf us -- at least for a time. How do we savor the fleeting splendor of fall and accept the inevitable coming austerity of the natural world? How do we stay open, receptive, and grounded amidst the shifting circumstances of our own lives and the world around us? We will begin with a centering meditation, followed by reflections and discussion on healthy responses to transience and impermanence in the natural world, our personal lives, and in society at large. This month’s session is facilitated by HumanistsMN program coordinator and humanist celebrant, Audrey Kingstrom. HumanistsMN is committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and caring community for all our members. We welcome everyone who shares our humanist principles. We acknowledge the dignity and worth of all people -- every race, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, social class, abilities, or disabilities. We actively promote a culture of respect, belonging, and compassion as we strive to create an environment where everyone can thrive. By participating in HumanistsMN events, you agree to conduct yourself in accordance with these values. This event is sponsored by HumanistsMN. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining to help us cover our costs and build the humanist movement. Not ready to join? Donations are gratefully accepted!
