Midwest Lit Fest: Meet & Greet

First Floor. Celebrate the joy of literacy, art, storytelling, and creativity at the Meet & Greet for Midwest Lit Fest! Meet all of the talented authors and illustrators visiting the festival, get your books signed, and snap a photo with your favorite creators. Plus, every child can receive one free book written by one of our participating authors, while supplies last. Come discover new stories, meet inspiring creators, and celebrate the magic of books together! Participating authors and illustrators: Jerry Craft, Vashti Harrison, Claribel Ortega, Raul the Third, Keenan Jones, Chloe Burgett, Skyler Hogan, Kashelle Gourley, and Danielle Herzog. The Bookworm will be present to sell books by participating authors. Midwest Lit Fest celebrates reading, storytelling, and creativity, designed to inspire young minds to explore their own voices through art and writing. Children in grades K-8 along with their teachers and caregivers are invited to interactive sessions with Jerry Craft, Vashti Harrison, Claribel Ortega and several local authors and illustrators. This is a free event for all ages. Parents/caregivers must remain with their child(ren) for the duration of the program. Registration is encouraged but not required. All are welcome! All Omaha Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible. Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event?
