Midarm + Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine Certification

Expand your sewing skills and get certified to use some of the most versatile machines in the Ace Textiles studio! In this hands-on certification class, students will learn safe operation of both the PFAFF Midarm Free Motion Sewing Machine and Ace’s heavy-duty walking foot machines, including the Pfaff and Cowboy. You’ll get hands-on practice with the Midarm, including threading and oiling the machine, winding the bobbin, adjusting bobbin tension, and learning the basics of free-motion sewing. The Midarm is a great tool for quilting large blocks, decorative stitching, and other projects that benefit from extra working space and control. Students will also learn how to safely operate Ace’s heavy-duty walking foot machines, designed to handle tougher materials and multiple layers such as leather, denim, faux fur, outdoor nylon, and other heavy fabrics. By the end of class, students who successfully complete the required instruction will earn certification to use both the Midarm and heavy-duty walking foot sewing machines at Ace. Level: Intermediate / Ambitious Beginner with previous sewing experience Location: Coworking/Textiles, Suite #206 Prerequisites: Sewing 101 or equivalent basic sewing machine competency and confidence Certification: PFAFF Midarm + Heavy-Duty Walking Foot Machines (Pfaff and Cowboy) Age: 18+ What to bring: A notebook or well-charged phone for taking notes.
