Michael Player & Gerald Butler

Michael Player is a Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer based in the North Houston area. He and his band have been steadily making waves in the Houston Country Music Scene for a few years and his momentum is increasing. Michael’s sound is “Classic” Country but his voice has a uniqueness that most of his contemporaries lack. Michael began writing songs while attending Texas A&M and has been building a strong yet quietly publicized catalogue of original music. Normally a 5 piece band, Michael’s band has the flexibility to go from “Silver Wings” to “You Shook Me All Night” by AC/DC in a wink of an eye. Michael has played some of the top venues in the area including Big Texas in Spring and Lonestar Saloon in Richmond. He has opened for legends like George Jones and Willie Nelson along with regional acts such as Josh Abbott, Scooter Brown Band, Bri Bagwell and Josh Ward. All in all, Michael is strong in his roots as a Country artist yet has a modern edge that sets him apart from the rest.
