About this event
Finding the right relationship is not only about choosing well. It also means recognizing when a relationship is wrong for you—and having the confidence to end it before months or years are spent trying to force something that simply doesn’t fit. In this men’s group discussion, we’ll focus on one of the most overlooked relationship skills: becoming a good ender. Many men stay in relationships longer than they should because of fear, guilt, loneliness, scarcity, or the hope that major incompatibilities will eventually disappear. Others know deep down that the relationship is wrong but avoid the breakup because they don’t want to hurt someone, face conflict, or wonder later if they made a mistake. We’ll discuss: Why choosing well also requires knowing when to walk away The fears that keep men in relationships they already know aren’t right The idea of “catch and release” in early dating Why ending things sooner can prevent deeper emotional entanglement How to distinguish temporary problems from fundamental incompatibility Why clear, honest endings are usually better than long explanations How to break up without unnecessary blame, cruelty, or mixed signals Why knowing you can leave a bad relationship makes it easier to fully commit to a good one The goal is not to become cold, detached, or disposable with people. It is to become more honest—with yourself and with the woman you’re dating—so neither person wastes valuable time in a relationship that has no real future. Sometimes the strongest relationship skill isn’t holding on. It’s knowing when to let go. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Join us every Wednesday at 6:00 PM for our weekly Men's Group meeting!
