About this event
Multi-Purpose Room. Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognized training that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. Designed for anyone who interacts with the public—including first responders, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, employers, caregivers, librarians, and community members—this free, two-day course provides practical skills for offering support during times of crisis or concern. Participants will learn how to assess for risk, listen without judgment, provide reassurance and information, encourage appropriate professional help, and promote self-help and other supportive strategies. The course is presented by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and is offered in two four-hour sessions. Registration is required by October 30, 2026. To register, call 928-708-0100.
