Music Best for grades 5-12 Approx. 60 minutes Free admission (tickets/reservations required) “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band is the oldest continuously active professional music organization in the United States. This special performance gives students a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be a professional musician in one of the country’s most prestigious ensembles. Performed by a small group of Marine Band musicians, the program features engaging music and stories that introduce students to the instruments of the wind band, the daily life of a professional performer, and the important role music plays in public service and American history.
