Meet the Author: Donald G. Redman

About this event

Come meet a local author Donald G. Redman and his book Travis Moon and the Ghost Train. About the Author Donald G. Redman is a seasoned storyteller with 30 years of experience as an award-winning journalist and playwright, feature writer, and poet, now debuting as a novelist in the magical realism genre. He lives in Slidell, Louisiana, where he crafts narratives that explore memory, loss, and the ties that bind us. When not writing, he’s either out and about with his iPhone taking pictures of anything that strikes his fancy or taking his rescue dog Milo on adventures. Donald G. Redman’s debut novel weaves humor, subtle faith, and accessible prose into a compelling, heartfelt story that explores love, grief, family, and the mysteries of faith, delivering simple truths with emotional resonance and optimism. About the Novel All aboard the Five-O-Five Timberland Express, where the tracks lead beyond the veil. In Lee Valley, Travis Moon discovers a train community that hums with magic, guided by a watchful crow and a Hopi spirit guide. As his great-grandfather Thomas Lee nears his final journey, Travis must orchestrate a homecoming unlike any other—reuniting lost loved ones in a world where memories never fade. From derailed engines to spectral parades, this tender tale of grief and wonder blurs reality and fantasy. Donald G. Redman’s Travis Moon and the Ghost Train is a haunting celebration of family, painted in rainbows across the divide of life and death.
