Meditation + Tea: Dancing Mindfulness at Create U. in Detroit, MI on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Tickets from $5.
Welcome!! Meditation + Tea is a monthly gathering, for women of color to meditate and converse about cultivating more joy in our lives over a cup of delicious herbal tea. This relaxed and informal gathering begins with a guided meditation designed to relieve stress, build community, and create space to unwind the narratives that block the flow of joy. We will deepen the connection between mind, body, and heart through meditation, followed by conversation about living with meaningful joy over a cup of delicious herbal tea. (Our blends are cultivated and created by Ursula and Stephanie and shared for your enjoyment) Our June gathering will be an evening of soulful movement meditation designed to help you reconnect with your body, breath, and inner rhythm. Guided by a curated playlist featuring artists like Mariah the Scientist, Leon Thomas, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, India Arie, Jill Scott, and other soulful R&B artists, weโll move through an evening of slow flow, emotional presence, reflection, and release. No dance experience is needed. This is not about performance or choreography, but about listening inward, moving intuitively, and allowing the body to guide the experience. Weโll close the evening with tea and reflective connection in community. Come as you are. Move as you need. Leave feeling more rooted, softened, and alive. $5 fee can be submitted via CashApp @ $meditationtea to secure your spot. Space is limited.
