Meeting Room. Medicare Pre-Open Enrollment Workshop is an interactive workshop series hosted by the CISC Healthcare Access and Outreach Team to help Medicare beneficiaries feel better informed and prepared for the Medicare Open Enrollment Period. The workshop provides education on Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, Medigap, Medicare Savings Programs (MSP), enrollment periods, and other cost-saving resources. Participants will also receive practical guidance on how to use Medicare.gov, the official Medicare website, to compare coverage options, review benefits and costs, and identify plans that may fit their individual healthcare needs. As trained SHIBA advisors, we provide free, unbiased, and confidential Medicare education and counseling. Rather than recommending a particular insurance company or plan, we help participants understand their options and learn how to evaluate coverage from the beneficiary’s perspective so they can make informed decisions for themselves. The workshop also includes practical tips for navigating Washington Healthplanfinder and understanding other healthcare coverage resources available in Washington State. Interactive components may include live website demonstrations, Medicare coverage comparisons, Q&A, and guided practice using Medicare.gov. Cant make it in person?
