Football, ice skating and a little holiday magic. Winter officially starts at McGregor Square. Join us for the McGregor Skate Grand Opening & Holiday Tree Lighting, happening alongside our Denver Broncos watch party in the heart of downtown Denver. We’ll have the 1 PM Broncos game on the Big Screen, and at halftime, turn your attention to the plaza as we officially light the McGregor Square holiday tree and kick off another season of skating at McGregor Skate. From 2–4 PM, Dinger will be getting into the holiday spirit in his Santa suit and posing for photos with fans. We’ll also have a special on-ice performance from Denver Colorado FSC, followed by the official opening of McGregor Skate for the season. Over on Wynkoop, shop a holiday market filled with local vendors, then stick around after the final whistle for a special showing of Elf on the Big Screen. Come for the Broncos, grab a photo with Santa Dinger, catch the tree lighting, take one of the first spins of the season around McGregor Skate and stay for Elf. Stop by between 2–4 PM for holiday photos with everyone’s favorite purple dinosaur. Halftime | Holiday Tree Lighting We’ll light the McGregor Square holiday tree during halftime and officially welcome the holiday season to the Square. Denver Colorado FSC Performance + McGregor Skate Opening Catch a special performance from Denver Colorado FSC on the ice, then lace up your own skates — McGregor Skate will officially open for the season immediately following the performance.
