The Florida Master Gardener Program is an outreach program composed of UF/IFAS Extension certified volunteers who are trained to provide research-based horticultural education to Florida residents. Learn from their expertise on gardening, landscaping, and environmental stewardship. Each session highlights practical tips and research-based information designed to help our community enjoy and care for Florida’s unique natural environment. Topic: Freezes Freezes can happen in Florida and knowing how to prepare for them and what to do with your damaged plants is important. This presentation explains the difference between frost, freeze, and hard freeze and how each can affect your plants. You will also learn what to do to protect your plants from cold temperatures.
