Marquette Park Composer's Workshop at Ridge

Over the last six years, the Chicago Park District has quietly fostered a critical arts incubator for new and emerging composer/performers in the Marquette Park Composer’s Workshop. 9 original suites of music and 7 full-length albums later, Marquette Park Composer's Workshop is ready to engage in deeper and more responsorial suites--here, in communication with the artwork housed in the Vanderpoel Gallery. Select member-composers have toured the gallery and chosen pieces of the fine art housed within which spoke directly to them.
