Marin Community Recovery Oriented Spaces

Marin Community Recovery Oriented Spaces Incorporated (MCROS) is a California nonprofit organization committed to community advocacy, peer-led support, and creating inclusive spaces that foster recovery and holistic well-being across Marin County. Grounded in the belief that sustainable recovery requires both structural support and meaningful human connection, MCROS actively advocates for accessible recovery resources, mental health awareness, and stigma reduction within local civic spaces. Alongside our advocacy work, we facilitate regular outdoor community gatherings, creative art meetups in public parks, and regional resource distribution to empower individuals and families on their recovery journeys. Our Mission: To advocate for recovery equity, reduce stigma, and build accessible, recovery-oriented community spaces across Marin County through peer support, creative expression, and civic engagement. Key Focus Areas: Community Advocacy & Awareness: Championing accessible recovery resources, mental health awareness, and recovery-oriented policies across local municipal and civic networks. Peer Connection & Inclusive Spaces: Hosting weekly outdoor meetups and peer support gatherings in local public parks to reduce isolation and foster community resilience. Creative Expression & Healing:* Utilizing collaborative public art gatherings as accessible, low-barrier tools for personal growth, voice, and connection. Please join us for our first advocacy group!
